Artwork can be inserted, pasted or scanned into Hatch Embroidery for use as digitizing backdrops. For both manual and automatic digitizing purposes, ‘clean’ images, sometimes referred to as ‘cartoons’, work best. Scanners introduce noise, while graphics packages perform ‘dithering’ and ‘anti-aliasing’ to improve image print quality.
Hatch Embroidery has width and height limits for Color PhotoStitch and Reef PhotoStitch processing. If width or height are greater than 400 mm, the larger dimension will be reduced to 400 mm and the image will be resized proportionally.
You can scale and transform images after importing, but it is generally better to do so during scanning. Scaling afterwards may distort the image.
