You can add up to four borders of the same shape to a monogram design.
Tip: It is common to use laydown stitch with monograms in order to flatten the nap of textured fabrics like terry toweling. In order to apply laydown stitching to a monogramming object, you need to add laydown fill as the #1 border, and then offset it to be larger than letter and ornament components.
