The Stitch Edit tool lets you select, move, delete and insert stitches.
Zoom in and display needle points for easier selection.
Turn on Needle Points under the Show Design menu.
Select the object and click Stitch Edit.
Select individual stitches by clicking needle points. The needle position marker moves to the selected stitch.
Hold down the Shift key and click to select a range of stitches.
Hold down the Ctrl key and click to select multiple stitches.
Alternatively, drag a bounding box around needle points to select them.
Move selected stitches by dragging one of the selected needle points.
Delete selected stitches by pressing the Delete key.
To insert a stitch, select a needle point where you want to insert a stitch then right click on the highlight stitch.
Continue right-clicking as needed.
All stitches after the needle position marker in the stitching sequence appear in ‘unsewn stitches’ color.
Change the colors of needle points, selected objects and unsewn stitches from the Background and Display Colors dialog.
All stitch edits are lost when an object is modified and regenerated. For that reason, stitch edits are mainly applied to machine files rather than design files.
